The law firm's partners, John Bisnar and Brian Chase, grew up in Orange County, graduated from Orange County high schools and Southern California colleges, with honors. They both graduated from one of the more prestigious Southern California law schools, Pepperdine University School of Law, Brian with honors. The law firm was founded in Orange County in 1978 by John Bisnar.

John Bisnar completed law school after honorably serving in the United States military in Southeast Asia. A product of a very modest income family, he was the first in his family to graduate from college. Mr. Bisnar worked his way through college and law school, emerging with a passion to represent the interests of regular people, consumers, and the "common man". He has never been motivated to represent insurance companies, corporations or government. He did however, spend a semester prosecuting cases in the District Attorneys office in Orange County. "I loved prosecuting cases. I felt like I was helping make things right and holding wrongdoers accountable for their actions," John has said.

The United Way, Orange County, named Mr. Bisnar a "Community Hero" for his civic and philanthropic work in Orange County. One of his most thrilling civic experiences was being a 1996 "Olympic Torch Carrier". The actual Olympic Torch he carried is displayed in his office.

In addition to teaching seminars to help lawyers improve their skills in delivering legal services, Mr. Bisnar has been certified to teach "interpersonal relationship skills" seminars to help men transition from being the prototypical type man of the 20th century, which many of our fathers and grandfathers were (closed off, non-communicative, unaware of their feelings and needs, and workaholics) to a much more evolved man, a man of the Third Millennium, a man involved with his family and community, aware of his needs and wants with the skills to communicate effectively with his family and social groups. Mr. Bisnar has a lovely wife and three adult children who have grown up in Orange County. Mrs. Bisnar is a professional interior designer. She did the design and furnishing of the Bisnar | Chase law offices. They were blessed with their first grandchild in the Fall of 2006.

Brian Chase, 2004 Orange County "Trial Lawyer of the Year - Product Liability", is the 2007 President of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association. The Orange County Trial Lawyers Association is an association of Orange County consumer attorneys dedicated to "Helping Attorneys Provide Their Clients the Best Possible Legal Representation". Each month the organization offers education programs taught by prominent attorneys, judges and other professionals to improve the skills of its members. Both Mr. Chase and Mr. Bisnar teach these programs. The Orange Country Trial Lawyers Association also provides a "case evaluation program" for its members as well as a mentoring program for newer attorneys. As a part of his executive duties, Mr. Chase regularly meets with members of the Orange County Superior Court judiciary to assist in the administration of justice in Orange County.

Mr. Chase is on the Executive Board of the Consumer Attorneys of California, an organization whose actions are designed to, "Preserve the right to trial by jury for all consumers...", to promote "... safe products, a safe workplace, a clean environment, and quality health care..." and to "Inspire excellence in advocacy through training and education...'. This is another organization wherein Mr. Bisnar and Mr. Chase teach programs for other attorneys to assist in their delivery of quality legal services.

Besides being an active member of consumer protection and personal rights organizations throughout the country, Mr. Chase is also an active member and financial supporter of his local Christian church. He is active in various Orange County philanthropic and civic organizations promoting quality of life for Orange County residents.
